Stay in Learning Mode

I'm constantly reminding myself of one of the ideas that Simon Sinek shares:

The best leaders I know are students of leadership. […] [Even] the most senior leaders constantly are reading books, reading articles, watching talks, having conversations all the time about leadership. They're always in learning mode.

Yes, it's yet another layer of effort to want to be the person in the room that's learning from everyone else, and to seek to put yourself in those rooms. Yes, perpetually engaging with both the history of leadership and the state of the art — across a near-infinite set of topics — is yet another thing on your ever-growing list.

The best leaders don't sit on their laurels: you have to foster a voracious desire to always learn more.
